A young team of the modern mould, Villa Park CC didn't look
much of a threat in the beginning, but later on proved to be
one of the toughest in the league. VPCC's ability in the
field, with the bat and ball - bunch of handy batsmen with
plenty of tough runs under their belt and many strike
bowlers with dozens of wickets during last season - often
goes in and take VPCC to win from all kind of hard situation
- have made them one of major threat for ACC. You will get
to see all kind of action during their games.
VPCC consists of brilliant all-rounders who were brought in
together and they surprised everyone.
VPCC Batsmen
The archetypal modern cricketers; VPCC batsmen play all the
shots with a full flourish of the bat and know only to
attack, and their breathtaking, dead-eye fielding is a force
in the game by itself. Gamblers and buccaneers, they are
natural at one-day cricket.
Our batsmen are symbiosis of strength and subtlety. Power is
no surprise, but sublime touch is remarkable for a man of
their bulk. With a willow between their palms they are
suddenly galvanized. They play shots all round the wicket,
is especially strong in unleashing ferocious pulls and
lofted drives. VPCC batsmen keep a cool head in a crisis and
have succeeded as premier batsmen.
VPCC Bowling They are dream cricketers. At their best, VPCC seamers play like most of you would wish to.
They have complete mastery over swing and seam, and
sometimes move the ball both ways in one delivery. All this
comes at high speed from a quick, ball-concealing action,
and is backed up by the threat of a dangerous bouncer or
deceptive slower delivery and their phenomenal control meant
that they regularly bowled at the death.
VPCC bowling has a new-age off spinner who loves variation;
Zeyad was perhaps the first off spinner in the league to
master the doosra, a delivery that spins away from the
batsman even though it is delivered with an off spinner's
action. Zeyad has a fast, short-stepping action with a
halting delivery, making him forever on the attack.
